We’ll be at the Miami Boat Show inside the PassageMaker Magazine’s tent on Collins Ave, Ramps 3 & 4. By then we should have some real good pictures of the almost completed boat and also have a good idea as to when she’ll be launched in March. Hope to see you there.

The boat is looking great so far. When do you anticipate sea trials will be taking place and where? Would like to attend if possible.

      Will,

Thank you for your comment. Of course we feel there are a number of reasons you should be considering the 46′ Journey LRCat and we invite you to give us a call so we can go into detail. But, to give you a couple reasons:
      1) Hull shape. We have wave piercing bows that gets through wind blown chop with ease and comfort. This design works well at traditional trawler speeds and at our normal cruise speed of 15 knots. Also, our bridge deck clearance is a minimum 30″ fully loaded, a very important factor to consider when thinking of cruising offshore.
      2) Fuel economy. Please click the “Specifications & Pricing” tab to view our fuel economy chart, towards the bottom. As our hull shape is very “slippery” we don’t need large engines to obtain a high cruising speed, 14 to 16 knots, where we experience close to 3 nautical miles to the gallon. At trawler speeds we can obtain close to 4 nm/gal.
      3) Style. We feel we have designed a catamaran that looks like a traditional yacht, not a square and boxy cat.
      4) Fit & Finish. As the boat is being built by Jet Tern Marine, builders of Selene Trawlers, we will have an interior finish that will stand out and make you proud.

Again I invite you and any other interested buyer to contact us so we can explain the above and much more to you in detail.

Will you be at Trawler Fest – San Diego this year?

We will also be at the Trawler Fest in Ft Lauderdale, 1/27 to 1/29 and at Anacortes 5/12 to 5/14 and Baltimore 10/6 to 10/9, these shows we’ll be display our model in conjunction with a local dealer. Dealer announcements will be forthcoming over the next few weeks.
