What you’re seeing is the beginning and continuation of the 1st layer of thin plywood. Looks rough but that’s standard at this stage…each layer is faired as they proceed to the next. After plywood skin is complete the entire surfaced is sealed , glassed and faired to perfection before the mold is built.
