The factory will be mostly closed for 29 days starting January 26th. There will be a small crew working on the tooling during this time so we won’t be posting photos until the end of the holiday period. Check back towards the end of February.

Skinning has started on the hull.

Just a few pics to show you skinning has started. What you’re seeing is the beginning of the 1st layer of thin plywood. Looks rough but that’s standard at this stage…each layer is faired as they proceed to the next.

After plywood skin is complete the entire surfaced is sealed , glassed and faired to perfect before the mold is built.

More pictures of the progress of the tooling. Quite a bit has been accomplished since the start of work on September 6th! Deck tooling is being started right next to the hull tool. You can see the steel frame in one of the pictures.

Frames are being cut and our spot in the yard has been established! Next week the frames will start to be assembled so we will see her start to take shape. Check back as we’ll have more pictures and information for you on the building process of the 46 Journey LRCat.
