I have been waiting to watch the first build of this boat….nice photo’s…keep them coming! I am a bit surprised at the fuel only being 600 gallons and fresh water at only 120 gallons.

I think you should really take a good look at this early on and at least increase the fuel to say 800 gallons standard and the water to say 165/175 gallons. When will the first boat show up in the States and will it be on the East or West coast. It is nice to see a production power cat coming out of Jet Tern and Best of Luck with your project!!!

      Wayne,

Thank you for your comment. As the boat evolves some items have changed and the website didn’t get updated. As we are close to building the tanks for the boat we have determined the the fuel capacity will be 680 gallons (and with our recent redesign it may be over 700) and the water will be 145 gallons. Regarding the fuel, it will be possible to add at least 100 extra gallons up forward which would only be filled when starting a long trip. Regarding the water, the boat was designed to accommodate a water maker. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Can this boat be supplied with the Skyhook system from Mercury/Cummins.

    • journeyadmin says:

I believe that the Skyhook system if for outdrives and we are using a Sea Torque drive system. Using this system we can soft mount the engine then use U-joints on a short drive shaft to the Sea Torque thrust bearing. This then turns the prop shaft which is enclosed in a stainless tube filled w/ oil and roller bearings. Please visit their site for a detailed description and pictures. Also you can click on our Specifications tab and there is a link to a one page description of the system. If you have further questions or would like a more detailed answer, please call Neil Riley at our office in Alameda. Thank You.

I have extensively searching for the right boat when I retire. Circumnavigation always in the back of my mind. I have been looking at Endeavour cat for excellent living aboard arrangements. Please give m reasons why I will choose Journey cat rather than Endeavour.

Thank you for your comment. The foremost reason to choose the 46′ Journey would be that she is designed to be an offshore vessel with the capability of crossing oceans. We feel there are many more reasons but to list them all would be too time consuming and for you to get a better understanding of the boat we would like to discuss this with you over the phone or in person. Please give Neil Riley a call anytime on his cell at: 510-507-0006. Or send us note with you contact information and best time to reach you and we’ll call you. Hope to hear from you soon.

    What price range

    • journeyadmin says:

Currently our price with the standard equipment lying Hong Kong reading for shipping to final destination is $849,000. This may adjust as we proceed with the build of the first boat but we don’t think it will be significant.
